David was an inspirational coach and always so enthusiastic about his hockey. We had lots of fun being coached by him at Cambridge South with some good banter! He was also very influential in my journey to becoming a coach, always willing to give encouragement and suggestions on how to improve. His positivity through his illness was incredible and I wasn't surprised to see him on the hockey pitch all the way to the end!
